The Wonders Of Christmas - Poem by Melissa Furey

Silence now fills the eerie Air
Where laughter once was the street is now bare
Not A sole or thing is in sight
On this beautiful Christmas eve night.

In one part of the town its full of hurry
Most men in a dash spending what they have left of their money
Choosing what there family would like
Avoiding anything christmasey until that night

For parents its midnight wrapping and telling the kids santa is on his way
The parents are excited and apprehensive for that day
As they hope the turkey and food cooks alright
They wait in nervously hoping the clash of families dont fight

The ones who are alone smile with glee
They hold on to the past and think about memories
They carry on without a gift or tree in sight
The watch the snow fall and glistening while wide awake at night

The joy and magic of the day always lives on
So dose the ones who sadly past on Christmas is a day to be grate, kind and polite
For those who dont celebrate i hope your day is happy and nice
