What A Depressing Day Offers - Poem by tushawn white

A little daylight savings
For a person emotions
Are non-expressed
When pleasure is delight
And fun is considered amusing
Because it not normal to smile
Living in the northern part of the states
Or saying good mourning with a pose
Never to think time is a factor
In an person attitude
Boiling over every night
When the kids are out too late
The bills keep piling up
After consuming the struggle
Like a meal of steak and sauce
So hard to chew in the mouth
But morals make the meat tender
Under the condition of heat
Stand face to face with the problem
Unlike a fight but more of a challenge
Standing in the way of your freedom
Withstanding the true meaning
Being understood from up close
Making the obstacle a blessing
With the waters of clear thoughts
And world winds keeping the mind clear
Under the umbrella of humble sanctions
Listed in the back of the mind as relief
From whatever the issue maybe
Why; you tell me!
