A Final Word To The Walk ~ - Poem by Maha Moustafa

I love you so much it hurts
you've reached the steepest crater in my heart
I lost control myself
how could you be so strong
you broke hearts but never cared
yet, I owe you so much
for what you've showed me in life
you taught me the meaning
that all those glitters aren't gold
sometimes they could be fake
like a sky
so true yet vapors
like a sun
that lights a moon
but what's a moon without a sun
that illuminates it
what is life without a person to love
that can draw your smile
how would I've been tasting true happiness
without some pain
how would I've been calculating consequences
without falling
I now value every moment
& cherish every advantage
grateful for my world
I like who I am
flexible but not to be cut
hard but not rigid to be broken
I just learned how to change colors
to protect myself like butterflies
I know when to hide and when to face
But what I like most
I've learned how to control my heart by mind
