Age And War - Poem by Conor Young
Never before and never again;
Will I sleep so contentedly by her side
Without fear of being dragged away when the clock strikes ten.
Gazing into her deep brown eyes;
Is just not enough
Because ‘everyone’ knows we’re too young to love.
Where do you stand?
Or are you an obstacle?
Years are meaningless;
Tears of love and hate don’t age.
I’m young, therefore I should be free.
