Bella - Poem by Zoe SEM

I forgot what it was like to miss someone the second they’re gone
To feel as if a part of you is missing in their absence
The rhythm of your heartbeat changing when they’re even on your mind
To know every inch of their body and soul and crave more

I forgot what it was like to feel that strange mix of excitement and nerves
To be completely content in watching the beauty in simple things they do
The touch of their skin against your skin, like a rush of electricity
To truly let your guard down and feel so exposed

I forgot what it was like to feel at home in the arms of another person
I forgot what it was like to trust unconditionally
I forgot what it was like to be in love
I had forgotten…
