Beneath Ancient Waters - Poem by Brock Daumler

beneath ancient waters lies
a monolith tall and mighty
ascending from the black bedrock
its stone as archaic as the waters encompassing it
Hallowed by the ages
its unknown petroglyphs glow dimly in the dark waters
attracting the presence of nearby creatures
the towering monolith silhouettes in the abyss
an aqueous artifact of the cosmos' most spectral unknown
basking it's indecipherable petroglyphs
Watching, waiting
