Body & Soul - Poem by JeanPierre Barakat

Your body is a dream
Your soul is a stream
Into which my thoughts flow
And shine till the afterglow

The scent of your skin
Expires from within
And floats like a silent sigh
So the spell is cast: wonder why?

Here I stand away from who
Once shared the thoughts of you
But I am closer now to me:

I look ahead, and I feel free...
