Boy - Poem by Tamara Moir

One day you’ll love me, boy
One day you’ll care
One day you’ll need me, boy
But I won’t be there

Look into my eyes, boy
Look into my heart
Look into my soul, boy
You tore it apart

You said you loved me, boy
Ha, what a lie!
You told me that without me, boy
Without me you’d die

Well I can see clearly, boy
Now you’re not here
I can see you’re lies, boy
Now you’re not near

You came to my house, boy
Asking for me
I told you to get lost, boy
I found one who loves me

Just as I predicted, boy
I got over you
Just as I thought, boy
I found one too

One day you’ll love me, boy
One day you’ll care
One day you’ll need me, boy
But I won’t be there!
