Cannock Chase - Poem by Lee Fones

Looking over tranquil lake
From wooden bird hide
one they call drake
on water ducks glide

landscape is beautiful
squawking canadian geese
water itself is rather dull
the wind is blowing east

one branch swings low
fish bob up and down
some ducks move slow
geese loud, birds frown

ducks take plunge
island geese chase
squawking grunge
happens on cannock chase
