Chase Me Away - Poem by Angel Croshier
We’ve had our ups and downs
What couple doesn’t have their frowns?
But lately we feel more like friends
All the sparks are gone; we just have odds and ends
I’ve tried to grasp them back
And all you do is make me back track
You hinder me day in and day out
Don’t you want the fire back without a doubt?
Don’t you want our passion to return?
It seems like you have no concern
You make me so mad with so many glances
And I’ve given you so many chances
Seems like you want us to end
Like you’re chasing me around the bend
Why can’t I stay?
I don’t want to run today
Please don’t chase me
Please hear my plea
My legs no longer sustain
Don’t chase me away again
