Chevy Chase Bank Robbery - Poem by Slava Olchevski

Thanks for saving with us flashed Chevy Chase bank
People stared at me at this very moment
The Sun shone bright with its blinding rays
While we robbed that bank at Chevy Chase...
I was sitting in the car to provide get away
I was dreaming of money that were coming my way
The doors burst open and people fled
Bullets flew whining from the ricochet
Then Joe stepped out with guns outdrawn
Pulling behind blood covered John
The heist went bust, we were outgunned
Let's get out of here, run, baby, run!
Amid all the ruckus, amid all the mess
I pulled on a highway and stepped on gas
With police cruisers in tight pursuit
We didn't have time to spend the loot
Deep in sierras, in the middle of nowhere
We had a well hidden lair
With a stash of guns, booze and local mujeres
We can lay very low, if need be for years
Two years later when all quiet down
We pulled our noses in the nearby town
With interest rate high at above five percent
We made a deposit at Chevy Chase bank!
