Come Back To Me - Poem by jon barron

May our paths cross again
That I could call you more than just a friend
You are my hopes and my fears
The cause of all my tears
May we meet again
So I may never forget

That special way you make me feel
You’re the reason that I breathe
You’re my earth and my stars
The wind in the trees
I could sleep forever
As in sleep you’re all I ever see
To see you happy
Would make me smile
But for that happiness with me
I would crawl every mile
Each mile your heart pulls away from me
I’d crawl forever just to die at your feet
If dying right now gave you happiness for life
I’d fall to the ground
Never you being my wife
To have and to hold thoughts of the past
The feelings they stir up
Why couldn’t it just last
If you did return
I think my heart would just stop
Overwhelmed with emotion

This will not happen now you have moved on
To what end will my wishes ever come true
To once again be yours, be us, me and you
