Come Rest 7 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Feeling quite tired my dear
as I have been the last couple of days.
So a rest is in order and it
could be short or long.
I don't know lately because my body
has a mind all of its own.
Come join me and I'll hold you
while we feel comfort and peace with each other.
Come rest with me dear and let me hold you so close,
tell you all of my love and just know
that you're here in my arms where
I've dreamed of for so long.
Come rest with me dear and I'll
soothe your soul and your heart.
Resting together will help me sleep
in the way that I've needed so long.
You being here will make feel totally calmed.
Come rest with me dear and let me relax while
I feel your heart beat and listen to you breathe.
Feeling your Angelic spirit and love surround
giving me total comfort and peace.
Come rest with me dear and feel the love
that we have always shared.
I'm feeling quite tired and so badly need a rest,
please come join me and we'll cuddle the whole time.
Total warmth in our arms knowing
we're wrapped in true love,
come rest with me dear and be in my arms,
I love you so much and want
to kiss you before closing our eyes.
