Dear Dad - Poem by Andrea Edlund

I never asked for much
just for you to be around
you couldnt even answer
my simplest request

Was I never good enough?
Was it the fact that Im a girl?

Now im sitting here all alone
Wondering whats wrong with me

I never meant to cry
I never meant to scream
To distrub you
From your T.V.

I never asked
for you to Apologize
I never asked
For an Understanding

I just thought you
would be around
And I can see
I was wrong

I guess I'll never
Know You
And you'll Never
Know me

I Guess its Time
We Closed The Doors
And Said Good-bye

You May Not Care
But I Still Cry
I Still long
To Know You
You May Not Care
But I Still Love You

So I Guess This Is Good-Bye
But You Know Where To Find Me
If One Day You Start To Care......
