Depth Of My Love - Poem by Ofentse Mercy Hajane

Rivers of my love runs deeep in our hearts
Niether height, depth,
nor mountain wide could show the depth of my love
Way beyond the seas
throughout all eternity,
could never show you the depth of my love
To the sun far beyond the sky
Thousands of tears i hold
Could never show you the depth of my love

Forgiveness beyond measure
Memories that I treasure
Love written as a lullaby
Enchanted dreams of you and I
Could never show you the depth of my love

Likes and times
Songs and rythms
Money or gain
Life and pain
Could never show you the depth of my love

Poems and letters
Scripts and stories
Just only begins to fathom how much it means to me that I am inlove with you
But yet none can ever show the depth of my love.

All i am is what you made me be
From the day I looked into your dark brown eyes
I knew I would never be the same me again
And yet in all the hilarity of all
It can never show you the depth of my love

I sometimes wonder how deep it is
Deep as my chubby skin?
or maybe as the alleged deepest ocean?
But without you I fell shallow and lost
I may try to explain it but yet
you would never know the depth of my love.

I suppose thats how mother nature wishes it to be
For the depth of my love to remain a mystery
A phenomena
Waiting to be discovered
Waiting to rapture off its warm love.

Great poem and I like the way you painted the picture of your love, maybe it really is deeper than your chubby skin..keep writing,

I, too, was unable to show my love for another. I love without sight, just feeling.
I lost and lost the chance of the love to return to me.
