Disruption - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I hear
whispers
behind me

I turn
nothings there
only me

I hear
a laugh
echo

Dizziness
I'm falling
as I sit here

I can feel
you
all around me

The air
is thick
and heavy

Your presence
is overtaking
me again

I reach out
blindly
searching for you

Only air
then I hear
I love you

This time
I said it
even though you

left

so long ago

You still have
such a talent
for disruption
