Distance - Poem by Drin John Mosqueda

You are there and I am here
The worst thing I ever fear
Little by little you’re going far
As you take the road with your car

Before you said it would be you and me
But here I am alone as anyone could ever be
Listening to the song we used to sing
Feels like its you and me against everything

Though my friends are plenty
But my heart remains empty
For you the only person who fills my heart
Is now leaving and we will be apart

I said it once and I will say it again
I promise to thee
My heart will always be as it should be
So before you leave me broken
This request should not be forsaken

Even though your there and I am here
Be faithful, promise me you’ll wait for me.
