Don't Walk On The Grass - Poem by Andy Brookes

can you see
my soul
through the window

infinitesimal
yet transparent

come closer,

I forget

you hate to touch
be touched

are touched
with alienation.

antagonistic
your coldness
cold shoulders

crying in the dark
ice maiden

ice cubs fall
melting

forming a lake
of loneliness.

and

I cannot touch you
