Emerald Harbour - Poem by Gabriela Duricova

Sometimes I wish to get lost in you
But can I afford that?
And outside it's raining

Maybe I could get a loan
And let the rain pay
Or I'll just stay broke as a joke

On moments like this it feels
That city lights know me
Better than fellow humans do

When you're not here
It's only them
Who will kiss me good night

My stormy eyes glow cunningly
Like emerald temptation
The night is my harbour and ships go off shore

In each and every blushing rose
There lies a promise dormant
So know that I'm blooming for you, just in all secrecy
