Eyes - Poem by Amanda Schmidt

Two endless pools of darkness,
Swirling in mystery,
Your eyes are forever searching
Through my soul;
Stricken by their beauty,
I find I cannot move;
Your gaze is steady,
Never wavering
As you look inside;
There I hide
What I had hoped you would never find;
But now it is too late,
For your eyes tell me
You already knew
How I truly feel about you;
And as I realize this,
I can see that you love me too.
