Flame - Poem by Melissa Zuniga

I wont let go of this flame
As I embraced the tears in your eyes
I wont let go ever
I keep you always a flame
Sheltered by, warm hands
Feelings dont have words
I've taken a step to you
Words are always empty
The moon showed pale in us
As we both held on, not fearing anything
When that day comes
Destiny screw it all
I still hold you like a flame
The gales swept up all over
Taking our dreams and feelings to the sky
high up there, Im safe and scared with you
Where do we belong?
I kissed you softly and faded away
Youre always with me
Our bond held us in the night
The moon always showed in both of us
I watched with sadness, as you walked away
High up here without you
I still hold you to my heart
A flame burns throughout the night
It lives in both of us burning
We part ways, Dear moon illuminate us
Down this fork in the road ahead
I kissed you softly and faded away in the night
Still I hold you like a flame
