Flammable Instrument, Euhporest Fires, Pt.3 - Poem by Nicole D'Settemi
Guitar strings, bleed, they cry
Sensitive to what's in the air
Smoldered by heat
Sweat & flames surround me
This excitement courses through me
Before the fear washes through, too.
There's erotic oxygen all around me
And, I'm terrified to love
And, even more afraid, not to
I cannot touch or see you
Yet, I found myself smitten?
Cheetah and kitten
I'm falling in love with the energy
As I walk through this fire
You stapled your flesh, bone, and soul
To my heart, my mind, both of those
You wrestled my demons
Just to force on me, your own.
Jam the key inside
The lock between my legs.
