Garden Of Tears - Poem by Andy Brookes
You left without our permission,
taking the umbrella of your love
on your long journey.
we tried to dog your footprints,
trying to hold back the tide of the inevitable,
but your tracks disappeared at the boarder
our bodies were too heavy to follow.
all you left us with,
besides the weight of your loss,
was your love.
we watered our memorial garden
with our heavy tears.
here now grow our recollections,
as we let you go.
