Get It Right From Here - Poem by Jaymie Lanera
I don't know why I try when everythings a blur.
These words repeat over and over through my ears.
The harder I think, the more I'm unsure.
What is it that stimulates your fears?
Is there really a cure for something
accumulated over the years?
Only babies and dreams are pure-
no sense searching the untangible, tho sincere,
disappointment will follow when you can't hold her,
realizing she's not near.
Embrace the opportunity in front of you- i can assure you-
I won't hurt you nor cause a single tear.
Allow me to mend past fractures by proving
I love you and keeping you dear.
Genuine, I am- once you realize this and concur,
light will create shadows that highlight whats clear:
Everything we had and everything we were
has always brought us back together.
So let's do it again
and get it right from here.
