Good Things In Life - Poem by Jaya Jha

Good things in life
Are not meant to survive.
How else, will the men strive
To get new things, to make new kings?
And new kingdoms will never thrive.

Good things in life
Are not meant to survive.
How else will any tears be shed,
And bliss of laughter get into our head?
And any pleasure from smile, we’ll never derive.

Good things in life
Are not meant to survive.
How else will the petals dry,
And how would anyone in the corner cry?
And the effects of his deeds, the culprit will never realize.

Good things in life
Are not meant to survive.
