Goodbye Big Brother - Poem by Melissa Furey

I never got chance to say goodbye
Its so hard to think that your gone so its kind of hard to cry
I keep thinking you will be walking through the door
And teasing me and saying that you are really tall

I keep thinking that maybe there is change you are alive
And that what ever you had you manage to survive
But I know that deep inside
But part of me want to just run and hide

So that I wouldn't have to feel sad every time your name isn't on a card
Why does life has to be so hard
I'm happy that you died in no pain and in your sleep
And tomorrow you will be able to rest in peaceful

Even though you were only 21
Your memory will live on
Goodbye from your little sister
I hope where ever you are your happy and I miss you

Death is a bad reaper often going after unripe fruits. It's the ultimate final fate of all and sundry being inevitable, as dust to dust is a must. My heartfelt condolence to your poet. Despite the tragedy, the piece is lovely, well articulated and nicely penned. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply
