Growing Up With Love - Poem by Rob Charles Wilson
Why is it that I feel this way?
This way I feel for you
I guess its just because you are
A loving friend who's true.
The things you say and things you do
Are constantly in mind
I've never known a person be
So loving and so kind.
I met you many years ago
When we were both quite young
There was a closeness then,
Is that when this begun?
But I went my way, you went yours
I felt sadness for a while
Yet through the days and passing years
I always saw your smile.
I never thought that you and me
Would one day meet again
And all those years we were apart
Would give us so much pain.
Throughout those years I thought of you
Yet never realised
One day you'd bring out the real me
I'd hidden deep inside.
My pain and problems I have had
I know you've had yours too
And now to come to terms with them
Is what we both should do.
Its said somethings are meant to be,
I don't deny thats true,
About this life that comes from love
And I hope you feel it too.
My hopes of days and years to come
I picture all with you
Just feel the love I have inside
By everything I do.
