I Breathe For You

Poem by Angel Morrell

I am looking over the endless ocean
wondering where I now belong.
I once had an unconditional love
but it is now gone.
Your life on earth was shorten,
our time just slipped away;
We always thought we could meet
on any given day.
We never imagined one would never be around,
Now when I call your name
and there are no sounds.
There is no excitement in your voice
when I call to just say hi.
There is no one to listen when I feel
I am dying in inside.
There is no one to laugh at my jokes
and make smartass cracks,
There is no one to tell 'I love you' to
who will say it back.
Life has been so cruel to you,
people have done you harm.
Words can hurt, but you were safe
right here in my arms.
The tears we both have shed,
the many nights we have cried.
Both having great comfort
knowing we were by each others side.
You are at peace now
no more pain will you feel,
That is what helps my broken
heart to mend and to heal.
Many people love you
and miss you everyday,
The person you were left
our hearts to feel
your love in special ways.
You took a part of me that is
forever yours,
Hold my heart close to you,
this will be our doors.
The doors to a special place
only us two share.
When times get hard for me
I will call your name
and we will meet me there.
Now the ocean doesn't seem endless
for you are the end in sight,
I will close my eyes, listen to
the breezes breath
and I will hold you tight.
As long as we breathe for you
you will still be near,
Giving you life in memory
Where I belong is with you here.
I breathe for you..
You are here.
