Implore* - Poem by Faleeha Hassan Alabboodi

Please, my goodness do something for us
We are the children who Beyond at once The age of forty
We did not know so far how to drain the speech of sticky goals
Not walk With a dog
Not For something
Just because the bones of our grandfather
Filled with graves
Overlooking our streets
Not
Drink coffee
for the sound of guns
Never did make us sleep
Please my God
Does not make us Dream of Coats
And you are close to us!
Whatever hide in your heart to us
we want to see it
Please
Do not make things
changing from dark to darker
We're still young
Too;
