Living For Tomorrow - Poem by Sumpter Carter

I'm living for tomorrow
But tomorrow never comes.
We're adding to the sorrow
Just do what must be done.

Let's open up new pathways
Into the sinner's heart.
Let's start a whole new life today
Get a brand-new start.

Why are we living for tomorrow
When tomorrow never comes.
Quit adding to the sorrow
And do what must be done.

Jesus you will show us
All of our God's will.
He'll end the broken heartache
And make stormy waters still.

We're not living for tomorrow
Tomorrow never comes.
He's killing the world's sorrow
Glorying the Son.
