Bees and butterflies are in decline, forever lost
So vital for our food chain and survival
Pollenating plants, fruit, and crops
Now, forsaken to our folly and selfishness
With global warming so overwhelming
Glaciers melting, seas rising, forests cut and burnt
Nature struggling desperate in death throes
Against the ruthless destructive greed of men.
Mankind are the stewards of the Garden of Eden
Which they have cruelly despoiled and corrupted
Thinking only of pleasure and financial gain
Without thought for their descendants
Who will inherit only a stifling barren desert
Where once a garden flourished with bees and butterflies.
