Loves Nightmare - Poem by Amanda harding

In this strange world
I see what I want
But does it become
The eternal flame
I thought it was
Under the low flicker
I see my love
His words sweet
Talks of dreams
Yet darkness clouds my mind
Is this real?
Is this true?
This love I’ve always dreamed
Seems so close
Yet so far
All I want is reality
So why does this all seem
Like a nightmare
To horrible to dream
