Medallion - Poem by azeez sangwa
Where's the medallion we cried for?
Does it have no meaning no more?
Why fight for it and let it go?
Why do we lose the strength we'd before?
Are we satisfied with what we have?
Or failed to fulfil what we dreamt of?
Youngsters know not its' value
Heard of it nowhere but papers
I still keep my opinion
Want those kids inspired
Let them chase who again want to steal it
We lost it for seven black decades
Got it back for four white decades
Are we tired of it already? Why give them again?
