Memories - Poem by Brittany Tartaglia

The memories of you
are getting old
but my thoughts of you
have yet to grow mold

I sit and listen
to you babble on
day dreaming of
the far beyond

We were so stable
back in those days
before we together
destroyed youthful ways

Now with those girls
lined up in row
waiting just
to give you a go

They do not see
the things I see
the things you showed me
without a plea

Everyone says
we've both moved on
but is that really true
for my beyond

For in my beyond
we float on that cloud
high above all
the others we've found

They do not matter
just me and you
when you get past that door

But now it seems
you've ruined me
so it's hard
for my beyond to breath
