Mine - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Here on these pages of poems that I write
Exist the windows unto my very soul
With failures and triumps out in plain sight
A minds reaction to its life long toll
For its here on these pages I write how I feel
Exposing sorrow along with my glee
These are the feelings that keep us all real
Allowing thoughts a chance just to be
In everyones life there are bumps in the road
They challenge our abilities to cope
Each with their own intellectually heavy load
Teaching a mind the realities of hope
As we assemble the pieces to lifes little game
searching for the reason why we are
the paths we each take are seldom the same
as mine alone seems to follow no star.
'closing thought'
To reach out in thought is to search your mind
You may be amazed at the thoughts you find
