Morning's Breath - Poem by Erin Soh

The note on the piano
Rings on stubbornly
An aftertaste in my mouth
Remnants of onions
On the tongue
The memory of love,
Taints me constantly.

Makes me unbearable
An outcast (of your heart!)

I wonder, is it simply halitosis
Morning's breath?
