Morning Scramble - Poem by Andy Brookes

you left half eaten toast
the edges curling.

bread bin destitute,
fridge bereft of milk.

not a drop of juice,
a pillaged coffee pot.

leaving a note saying,
have a nice day.
PS out of milk and bread.
