Obliviousness - Poem by Kelly Kurt

Repeating mistakes is a form of insanity
A troublesome trait since the dawn of humanity
It’s not a matter of abnormal psychology
There is not any underlying pathology
A consequence of societal positioning
And repercussion of communal conditioning
After innumerable cases of being burned
Extremely little, throughout history, has been learned

The Spaniard say Man is the only animal that hits himself against the same rock, twice
In other words, does not learn from his mistakes or try to correct or avoid them.

In the clearest and most beautiful poetic way you remind us of this.
    Very good poem,
    liked it, very much,
    don't mind reading it
    more than once

Thank you, Sandra. There are no abnormalities that force these mental errors, they are just our 'custom'

Committing the same mistake more than once is the biggest mistake.. Thanks Kelly.. (Report) Reply

The biggest mistake is doing it thousands of times.

Learning extremely little through history is too amazing to have broad expectation in this wisely penned poem. Fantastic sharing.10 (Report) Reply

Children know not to touch a hot stove the second time, but adults continue to start wars and wonder why soldiers get killed
