On The Rock Poem by LaRon Green Sr.

On The Rock

Rating: 5.0

Is a life of the other world
where you seperate
the men, the boys, and she-male
Life can be all you want it to be
on the rock
keeping your mind on
being set free
You have all you want
and need on the rock
as long as you have
your bone-crusher
and the lock in the sock
The guards are there to protect
only to be brought
they defect
to no one amaze
leading you into the danger of doom
for some loony toons
to play the final tune
Sometimes I wish
I was still younger
just on the rock
counting my ABC and 123
it's a memory to remember
You get one hour
to phone, shower and Rec
trying to stand tall
for the final test
Reading, writing, thinking
and hoping for the best
is all you have on your side
getting you rest
looking towards
going home or General Pop.
you dress
Being on the rock
you are just a number
it's a total mess

Sounds like one has to be careful with his mind and not lose it, by making sure that his life is as solid as a rock.
