Outward Bound - Poem by Ravinder Kumar Soni

Same old refrain
Same notes and caution
Same words and race
Up to the barren stone crop
Overlooking a wide vale
Wet and green
Peopled by young and old
Impatient and some asleep
Said to watch the water's run
As the river flows by
Noisily
Notching a point
That is valid and gold
And outward bound
And there
Lit up is seen
My book of verse
With its open page
Showing a name
That is not mine
But of the one thought about
Dancing in the rain
I search for pesky words
Not yet written in his praise
