Perhaps My Good Angel Loves Me - Poem by Louise McVicar
My good angel was here today
It had been so long since we were in each other's presence
and we smiled.
Our eyes met and he celebrated my life
along with my family.
We all smiled.
Such love and kindness and goodness radiated from his soul.
Toward me, I felt so peaceful and happy.
Words of affirmation and glowing praise I heard them speak of me.
But all I knew was my angel's presence.
My good angel.
We found a ring on the floor.
I jokingly remarked that he should give it to his girlfriend.
Does he have a girlfriend? I thought it silently.
He gave the ring to me.
