Preface To Departure - Poem by Pijush Biswas

Thus were we, an empty rue-
Thus were we, an unempathy
What Love? O, no more, no more!
Not you, nor your enigma
Not I, nor part in me,
In the Love whose pity dwelt.

I was a master whose soul
Petty won than much to love you
I was a captain of my soul
While I was blown by you
And you churned a mystery,
Fainting a day in light
Or, brightening a night in darkness;
Yet O, less forlorn to you!

Yesterday had a mansion, Today a hut
Yesterday was glossy, Today is faint
Yet more to love both they dwell
For sheer Love is all these above.

The poet takes a journey down memory lane which left him jilted at some point of time in love unexpectedly. Those delicate feelings have been put across quite beautifully. Thanks, Pijush.

    Thanks to all of you
It was just a strive to call on memories that night I wrote this poem.Once I fell in love with her, a girl who later changed her mind at a twist of our life. She went far away from me and I was left alone. It was not that we were mature to be in relationship, however it happened in some tryst.

The poem is written in some memories how I then spent my days, how she forgot me.Yet I believe in Love which if once begins and gets faded by lovers, think I, it's existence remains in words, spoken or unspoken. Thus the poem had come in my thought and mind, hence I did it.

Thanks to all of you for your valueable comments.
