R.I.P. - Poem by Gulam Abbas Hashmi

As now, those sounds have faded;
that threatened me for life,
as now no sort of beating is-
disturbing, causing strife.
Those in and out of air and blood;
my body used to live,
and soul was sleeping tight in me
but now no heed to give.
In rest I lay inside this pit,
my fellow ones did me.
Left here inside my body dead
and let my soul, set free.
