Scatter - Poem by thamoula papayia

there is so much to be said
my words are tangible
but you can't see them
as they fall into your lap
go ahead, stand up
you might hear them scatter across the floor
but don't bother scrambling around,
trying to pick them up and
piece each sentence back together.
you'll never regain what you never had.
