Security - Poem by Gordon Jerome

What happened to this nations leaders who fought for what was right
So we may lay our heads down and sleep in peace each night
They took on England’s mite when it was greatest in all the land
But now for this nations security they hesitate to take a stand
If they refuse to secure our borders then it is treason that they speak
I say impeach these worthless cowards that are making our nation weak
What do you think they’d say if we hired illegal’s off of the street’s
And because they’d work for less had them fill each of their seats
Then handed each one a uniform, a plastic apron, and a paper hat
And had these cowardly politicians ask “Do you want fries with that? ”
“closing thought”
I stand my ground on what I think is right
And for this nations safety I will stand and fight
