Snuggling Under The Covers - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I've just been lightly drifting
and sleeping so far my sweet lady,
happy thoughts of you are running through me.
I'm dreaming of what we'll talk about
and just holding you close feeling you in my arms.
I'm thinking of how you look right now
looking so beautiful as you're peacefully sleeping.
You're always beautiful but that thought
just makes my heart widely smile.
The picture of my beautiful Angel
looking and feeling so peaceful.
Sweet lady if you're awake or asleep
in spirit come tightly snuggle with me.
We'll slip under the covers hiding together
from the rest of the world in our own,
just smiling, talking, and laughing
like we always did.
You make me so happy and I want to
share time snuggling and kissing
under the covers with my only lady,
then just rest our heads close together
and drift off to sleep holding each other.
So far my sweet lady just lightly
drifting and sleeping but happy thoughts of you
fill me up and make me happy.
I'm sending you kisses so sweetly
and am hoping you'll come and snuggle with me
under the covers ever so sweetly.
I want to be with my Angel both of us smiling,
I love you Kira come join me under the covers
and feel peace in each others arms.
ILYF and ever KP
