Stain Me - Poem by Rajashri Saphia Singh

I hope and anticipate

I’m nervous and I’m scared

I know it’s risky,

but all these feelings

has only left me confused,

faint tickling sounds,

a shrill cry,

those doppled shadows,

showing no signs of life,

and i’m hearing

holding my breath,

straining to hear

you breathe

amidst the wind.

Stain me.
