Sticks And Stones - Poem by Karen GonzalezVidela

They told me once:
Stick and stones
may break your bones.
I stood while you beat me,
felt the rock
mix with my blood.
They told me once:
Words may never
hurt you.
I stood while you yelled
your storm.
So they told me,
but I felt both.
