Swim Team - Poem by mel Vill

Early morning
Cold water
Long distance
Lung busters

Cold showers
Tired limbs
Lost goggles
Faded suites

Long drives
Camping out
Hanging with friends
Loud cheers

False starts
Bad turns
Slow times

Making friends
Beating opponents
Perfect starts
Good times

Making it to state
West side cheer
Getting a PR
Winning a medal

Giving out emails
Saying good bye
Sometimes tears
Looking forward to next year
