Thanks To The Lens Of The Mirror

Exactly how one looks in reality
Who knows?
For the mirror is not just one
Or does one see self without the mirror?

Be it one's eyes
Which, once, the optician in his skill must set
And who knows how that works on one's eyes?
Be it one's mirror
Which, once, the silverer in his craft must set
And who knows how that works on one's mirror?
Be it one's fellow's mirrors
Which, hmmm, have endured the processes above
And who knows how all that work on one's fellow's mirrors?

So, when next one asks oneself how one looks in reality
One's answer? Thanks to the lens of the mirror
The mirror through which one has seen self
And when next one asks a fellow how one looks in reality
Fellow's answer? Thanks to the lens of the mirror
The mirror through which one's fellow has seen one
For one will not have just one look
From multiple mirrors
Though one be just one
